S4E Training is the evolution of over two decades of expertise from Strategies for the Environment Inc. Since 2001, we've been designing impactful training programs for organizations and the public. In 2021, we launched S4E Training as a dedicated academic institute—bringing our experience, innovation, and commitment to learning into sharper focus.
Ivana Strgacic, P.ENG, M.Sc.
President & Founder, S4E Training Inc.
Ivana Strgacic is a seasoned expert in environmental, occupational and health and safety and quality management systems, with over 25 years of experience as an auditor, consultant, and trainer. A Chemical Engineer with a Master’s in Environment and Management, she holds multiple certifications as a Lead Auditor in Environmental, DWQMS (Drinking Water Quality Management Systems), GHG Verification, Quality, and Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems.
Ivana has guided hundreds of organizations through successful certifications in ISO 14001, ISO 9001, ISO 45001/OHSAS 18001, CSA Z299, COR, and DWQMS. Her work spans a wide range of industries—from utilities and power generation to food, metals, chemicals, and manufacturing. She’s also a sought-after speaker at industry conferences and workshops.
Based in Toronto, Ivana balances her professional passion with quality time spent with her family.
Thomas Barnes, M.A. Sc., P.Eng
Lead Trainer
Thomas Barnes is a qualified and experienced Internal Auditor. He is a licensed engineer with expertise in Environmental Engineering, EMS, QMS and Process Engineering. He has over twenty years’ experience in Environmental Engineering and extensive experience in the internal audit process and support. Please see attached resume for details.
